I’m just going to be honest with you – there is absolutely nothing fat free or low cal or vegetarian or paleo about this recipe. If your New Year’s resolution was to lose weight or make some healthy nutritional change, please focus on the Caesar salad in the picture instead. Buuut if you’re in the mood for something ridiculously creamy, then feast your eyes on this delicious fettuccine alfredo.

This is my mom’s all-time favorite food. Remember her 50th birthday last year? She requested Italian food, and everyone knows that when she says Italian food, she really just means fettuccine alfredo.


I was surprised by how easy this is to make – you just need three of my favorite ingredients on earth…some quality parmesan cheese, fettuccine, and enough butter to put a smile on Paula Deen’s face. Of course, you can dress this up with whatever floats your boat: chicken, shrimp, bacon (duh), veggies, or whatever else you want! Pair this goodness with cheesy garlic bread and a nice Caesar salad and you have yourself an impressive meal, folks!

Fettuccine Alfredo


  • 1 pound Fettuccine Noodles
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. In a saucepan or skillet, warm butter and cream. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Grate Parmesan cheese and place half of it into a large serving bowl. Pour warm butter/cream mixture over the top.
  4. Drain pasta and immediately pour it into the bowl.
  5. Toss a couple of times, then sprinkle in the other half of the Parmesan.
  6. Toss to combine, thinning with pasta water if necessary.
